Forty students from the Penwood High school who previously received ungraded scores in six Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate, CSEC, subjects are to get their final grades by next month.

That’s according to Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education. Dr. Maurice Smith.

The Caribbean Examination Council, CXC, had said it would not issue the grades after the school missed the deadline to submit samples of the students’ School Based Assessments.

The school had said that it encountered difficulties in submitting the samples though CXC’s online system.

Dr. Smith says a joint statement from CXC and the Education Ministry should be issued in the coming days.
