Opposition Leader Dr Peter Phillips is raising concerns about what he sees as a global move away from multilateralism.

Dr Phillips says such conflicts are impacting local politics in the Caribbean.

He says the commitment to democracy and social progress is apparently under threat.

Dr Phillips was addressing the meeting of the Socialist International Committee for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Montego Bay Convention Center, yesterday.

The two-day meeting is being held under the theme: “Challenges and priorities for Latin America and the Caribbean on the threshold of 2020”.
