Attorney General, Marlene Malahoo-Forte, is reiterating that at no time did the government state that wiretapping MOUs signed in 2006 by Dr. Peter Phillips with the US, UK and Canada were declared unconstitutional.
Mrs. Forte says an issue related to the MOUs was heard in camera last year and the court raised concern about sections of the provisions.

Earlier this week National Security Minister, Dr. Horace Chang, told the House of Representatives that the MOU signed by Dr. Phillips and the United States in 2006 was declared by the Court to be “unsatisfactory and inadequate”.
However, speaking with our news centre today, Opposition Spokesman on Justice, Donna Scott-Motley, said Minister Chang owes the public a clarification.
Senator Motley says the ruling referred to by Dr. Chang may be shared with sections redacted.
