The English Football Association has enquired of the Jamaica Football Federation if Phoenix Football Academy is an affiliate of the JFF.

JFF General Secretary Dennis Chung has confirmed that the Federation is in receipt of a document from the English F.A. asking to confirm if the Craig Butler-led Phoenix Academy is registered with the JFF.

The request from England comes just days after Butler announced on his social media page that talented player Dujuan Richards, a member of the Phoenix Academy, has signed a pre-contract agreement with top English Premier League outfit Chelsea.

Phoenix Academy is located in the Kingston and St. Andrew Football Association jurisdiction and President Mark Bennett confirmed to Nationwide Sports this afternoon that the JFF has contacted him to find out if Phoenix is registered with KSAFA.

So is the Phoenix Academy registered with KSAFA?

Ksafa President Mark Bennett speaking with Nationwide Sports.
