The CEO of the Jamaica Environment Trust, JET, Diana McCaulay, has criticized a decision by Environment Minister, Robert Pickersgill to lift the Cessation Order preventing the Karisma Hotel Group from removing sand from a work site in Negril, Westmoreland.
Minister Pickersgill lifted the order last night. Speaking with Nationwide News today, Ms.McCaulay says she’s disheartened.

Minister Pickersgill says he has lifted the order, given the economic impact of the hotel development project to the country.
Ms. McCaulay says the Minister’s reasoning is flawed.
