Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the Government will increase the income band that has access to National Housing Trust loans at a rate of zero-percent from 7-thousand-5-hundred dollars per week to 12-thousand dollars per week.
Mr. Holness disclosed a raft of increased housing benefits in the House of Representatives a short while ago.

Mr. Holness told Opposition Leader Portia Simpson Miller that the housing initiatives he announced this afternoon are part of the Government’s push to ease the burden on the poor.
Mrs. Simpson Miller last week criticized the Government’s tax break plan and called on the Prime Minister to declare what will be done for the poor.
