Prime Minister Andrew Holness has commended the security forces for their capture of the main suspect in the recent triple killing in Salt Spring, St. James.
Mr. Holness, who returned to the island from Saudi Arabia on Saturday, was briefed by Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Strategic Operations, Clifford Blake.
The school boys, nine-year-old Nahcoliva Smith and seven-year-old Justin Perry, along with a 26-year-old man, Tevin Hayle, were shot dead in Salt Spring in St. James on November 6 this year.
It’s believed that Hayle was the target of the gun attack.
The suspect in their killing was nabbed during an operation involving the police and military.
A guest house was searched, and the person of interest was found and detained.
Prime Minister Holness says his swift apprehension is a testament to the improved efficiency of the security forces.
