Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller says the JLP’s plan to raise the income tax threshold to $1.5-million, will undo the economic gains made under the PNP administration over the past four years.

The Prime Minister was speaking to PNP supporters last evening, at a mass rally in Catherine Hall, Montego Bay in St. James.

Thousands of PNP supporters turned out last evening for their party’s penultimate mass meeting before Thursday’s election.

Mrs. Simpson Miller says the JLP’s tax plan is bad news for the economy.

Mrs. Simpson Miller says Jamaicans do not have to depend on the JLP to take them to prosperity. She says her government is already doing so for many individuals and their families.
