Lobby group, Advocates Network, says contrary to the narrative being pushed in some quarters, the decision by the Director of Corruption Prosecutions at the Integrity Commission to not pursue charges against Prime Minister Andrew Holness, does not amount to an exoneration.

A spokesman for the network is Robert Stephens.

The Advocates Network believes that the investigation report which found that there were potential conflict of interest beaches by the Prime Minister, regarding his recommendation of a close business associate to be awarded government contracts, is indeed accurate.

It says parliamentarians should not be intervening in the selection of service providers for the award of government contracts.

It’s against that background that the advocacy group is calling for the scrapping of the Constituency Development Fund, CDF.
