Prime Minister Andrew Holness has sought to reassure residents and business interests in Negril, Westmoreland that work will soon get underway to repair damage caused by adverse weather conditions last week.

The abnormal weather activity, which was accompanied by heavy waves, also destroyed sections of the sea wall in the town and damaged roads.

While on a tour of the area on Saturday, a resident asked the prime minister to state when the repair and restoration work would begin.
