Prime Minister Andrew Holness is set to leave the island for visits to the United States and the United Kingdom.

In a statement Wednesday afternoon, Jamaica House says the prime minister will travel for a working visit to Boston, Massachusetts to include participating in a conference at the invitation of Harvard University.

He will then visit the United Kingdom for the Funeral Service of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Prime Minister Holness will then participate in the 77th United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA.

He will return to the island on Saturday, September 24.

During the prime minister’s time away, deputy prime minister and Minister of National Security, Dr. Horace Chang, will lead the government.
