Prime Minister Andrew Holness has sought to assure the country that the distribution of relief supplies to people affected by the impacts of Hurricane Beryl will be transparent.

He gave the assurance while speaking to the media on Thursday at the end of a tour of St. Elizabeth, the parish hardest hit by the category four hurricane.

Mr. Holness says there’ll be a verification mechanism in a move to ensure the government can account for the resources distributed during its relief efforts.
