The Peace Management Initiative, PMI, says it will be focussing its efforts on the crime-plagued parish of Clarendon in the next few months.
The parish recorded the second highest number of murders last year.
Executive Director of the PMI, Damian Hutchinson, says the organization has staged interventions in the York Town and Effortville areas of the parish.
Mr. Hutchinson says the violence is usually linked to feuds between rival gangs. He says the PMI is to continue its focus on Effortville and York Town and the Sandy Bay and Bucknor areas of the parish.
Last year 167 persons were murdered in Clarendon. It was only topped by bloody St. James which recorded 335 murders.
