The Opposition People’s National Party, PNP is blasting the Holness government for the move to end visa free access for Cubans.

In a post on social media website Twitter, Opposition Spokesperson on Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade, Lisa Hanna, says it’s remarkably disappointing that Jamaica would take this route.

She says Cuba has been good to Jamaica over the years.

According to Ms Hanna, Jamaica has, in response, become what she describes as primarily silent and compliant.

Ms Hanna says if what she says is the Holness Administration’s doctrine of doing nothing continues, Jamaica will run the risk of destroying its enviable reputation of courage & activism in the international arena.

The Foreign Affairs Spokesperson says the government will also erode years of consistently approaching decision-making on principle, which she says has served Jamaica well and brought desired results.
