General Secretary of the People’s National Party, Dr. Dayton Campbell, says his party’s appointment of a Junior Shadow Cabinet signals a commitment to addressing the issues facing youth in the country.

Dr. Campbell says the appointments should come as no surprise as the PNP has always been a party committed to the advancement of young people in Jamaica.

He’s admitting that the group of spokespersons will likely assist in the party’s outreach to young voters.

Senator Gabriella Morris, the party’s Spokesperson on Youth and Sport, will chair the Junior Shadow Cabinet.

She says the appointment of the body represents a progressive move by the PNP.

The Senator says the members will prioritize key issues being faced by Jamaica’s young people and put forward solutions to address them.

Senator Morris says there’ll be synergies between the Junior and the Senior Shadow Cabinets.
