A large quantity of cables believed to be the property of telecommunications company, Flow, was recovered by the St Catherine South police this morning in Silverstone, Portmore.
Police reports are that at about 4:30 this morning a patrol team responded to a call from the Emergency Centre after residents reported seeing men removing the cover of a manhole in a section of the community.
Upon entering the community a silver Toyota Probox motorcar was seen speeding. The police chased it.
Two men who were aboard the car managed to escape on foot, leaving the vehicle behind.
A large quantity of black wire cables was discovered in the car.
