Prime Minister Andrew Holness, has given the go-ahead to the Port Authority of Jamaica to push forward with more projects under the Logistics Hub Initiative.
After successful completion of the Kingston Logistics Park, Holness says this will further ensure Jamaica is looked upon favourably.
He was speaking at yesterday’s opening of the facility which incorporates 18,000 square metres of warehouse space from which the Port Authority expects to make a return on investment of over 10 per cent.
The idea of turning Jamaica’s strategic location into an important hub of regional and global trade goes back more than two decades.
However, Holness says he’s turned talk into action.
The prime minister also noted that the development came at no additional expense to the Jamaican taxpayer.
