Prime Minister Andrew Holness says a prophecy has moved him to endorse the call by religious leaders to declare a National Day of Prayer and Fasting.

Prime Minister Holness says the call to national prayer was among the items being petitioned on the Office of the Prime Minster’s website.

Mr. Holness says the petition did not receive enough endorsement.

The National Day of Prayer and Fasting is set for Saturday — when Church leaders will lead activities in Half Way Tree Square.

The events will continue on Sunday — at Sam Sharpe Square in Montego Bay, St. James.
