Incarcerated dancehall entertainer, Vybz Kartel, and his co-convicts will learn the outcome of their appeal to the UK-based Privy Council on Thursday, March 14.

Jamaica’s final appellate court says it will hand down the highly anticipated judgement at 11 a.m.

Kartel, whose given name is Adijah Palmer, and his co-convicts, Shawn ‘Shawn Storm’ Campbell, Kahira Jones and Andre St John, appealed their 2011 murder conviction.

All four men were imprisoned for killing Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.

They’ve all maintained their innocence.

The appeal hearings in the matter were held at the Privy Council over two days from February 14 – 15.

The decision is being handed down exactly a month later.

In a statement on Friday morning, the Privy Council said it will live stream the decision.

The attorneys for all four convicts asked the Privy Council to free their clients.

The defence attorneys say in the interest of justice the men should be freed.
