Attorney-at-law, Shane Dalling, says the controversy over the tabling of reports from the Auditor General should be settled in court.

Mr. Dalling, who lectures in constitutional, public law and statutory interpretation at the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean, UCC, is also CEO of the Firearm Licensing Authority.

Speaking on Cliff Hughes Online on Wednesday, Mr. Dalling says the Speaker of the House, Juliet Holness, is correct in her interpretation of the law with respect to the tabling of two special audit reports commissioned by the Auditor General.

Mr. Dalling further argues that the procedure for the tabling of reports relating to public bodies differ from those governing central government departments.

But he adds that where conflicts exist, the law is the final.
