Prime Minister Andrew Holness, is reminding Parliamentarians to put Jamaica first.
He made the call at the official swearing-in of members of the House of Representatives this afternoon.
The Prime Minister, in his first address to the House since re- election, says it’s his intention to ensure continued cooperation between the government and opposition despite the increased majority.

The Prime Minister says Parliamentarians should keep Jamaica and Jamaicans as their highest priority.
He’s also assuring Jamaicans that despite the large parliamentary majority, the government will work in partnership with the opposition.
Meanwhile, Opposition Leader, Dr. Peter Phillips, echoed the Prime Minister’s sentiment as the only way to combat the challenging times brought on by COVID-19.
He also took note of the trend of low voter turnout at the polls as potentially damaging to democracy.
