State Minister of Technology, Julian Robinson, is calling on the US State Department to provide evidence that the government of Jamaica is illegally monitoring the online communications of Jamaicans.

The State Department made the allegation in its 2014 Human Rights report on Jamaica released last Friday.

According to Washington, “there were credible reports that the Jamaican government monitored private online communications without appropriate legal authority.”

The State Minister says he’s not aware of that and the US government should show the evidence.
