The MP for South East St. Andrew, Julian Robinson is recovering at home after suffering injuries in a bicycle crash on Saturday.

It’s understood that Mr. Robinson, a keen cyclist, fell during one of his routine rides through his constituency.

Writing on Twitter, Mr. Robinson told his followers that he dislocated a finger and suffered some bruising.

He wrote that he was riding fast down a hill and went wide as he navigated a corner.

He said he saw a car approaching and pulled hard on his brakes to avoid the vehicle.

He says he ended up falling from the bicycle.

Mr. Robinson, the State Minister of STEM, says he was treated at the Andrews Memorial Hospital and sent home.

Meanwhile the Education Minister, Ronald Thwaites has been released from hospital after tests revealed minor injuries to his wrist and shoulder.

This after he fell while working on his farm on Emancipation Day.

A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister says Minister Thwaites is now recovering well at home.

The statement says the Minister continues to express appreciation for everyone’s concern and well wishes.
