Government Senator, Matthew Samuda, says he’s disturbed by the poor management and organization which were on display at the annual Denbigh Agricultural Festival in Clarendon.

The Denbigh event was held over the weekend under the theme – ‘grow what we eat, eat what we grow via climate smart agriculture’.
The festival was organized by the Jamaica Agricultural Society, JAS.
Senator Samuda says the substandard display at Denbigh in recent years suggest that the JAS does not have the capacity to coordinate a show of its magnitude.
He says this cannot continue as Denbigh is key to the country’s Agricultural enterprise.

Calls placed this afternoon to JAS President, Norman Grant, were not answered.
