Attorney, Dawn Satterswaite, has pleaded not guilty to money laundering charges.

Satterswaite and her husband, Terrence Allen, pleaded not guilty in the Corporate Area Criminal Court yesterday where their trial began.

Her co-accused, Paulette Higgins, Janet Ramsay, and Ann Marie Cleary also entered not guilty pleas.

The trial is to resume on December 11.

Higgins, Ramsay and Cleary are relatives of convicted Jamaican drug trafficker, Andrew Hamilton.

Hamilton, who’s a former policeman, was recently deported to the island after serving time in a US prison.

Former Senior Deputy DPP, Caroline Hay is prosecuting the case on behalf of the Major Organized Crime and Corruption Agency, MOCA.

Satterswaite and her co-accused are charged with multiple breaches of the Proceeds of Crime Act, POCA.

They were taken into custody in December 2013.
