The Jamaica scorpions stared with both bat and ball to beat two time defending champions Trinidad and Tobago Red Force by 292-runs in semi-final one of their regional Super50 in Antigua, yesterday.

Batting first the Scorpions piled up 434 for 4 of their 50 overs, with Chadwick Walton top scoring with 117.

Jermaine Blackwood contributed 108, Rovman Powell made 95 and Steven Taylor chipped in with 88.

In reply the Red Force were bowled out for 142 inside 27 overs.

Only Jason Mohammed 62 not out gave the Jamaican bowlers any trouble.

Powell finished with man of the match figures of 5 for 36, while Jerome Taylor Picked up 3 wickets and Reynard Leveridge 2.

Powell credits divine intervention for his performance.

Meanwhile, Barbados Pride take on the Leeward Islands in semi-final two starting in a few minutes from now.
