The Jamaica Scorpions are battling to avoid early defeat against the Windward Islands Volcanoes at sports time on day three of their four regional encounter at Sabina Park.
At lunch the Scorpions are 131 for 6, still 51 runs behind with Gordon Bryan not out 30.
The Jamaicans resumed this morning on 74 for 4 and lost Nkrumah Bonner for 65 and Abhijai Mansingh for 4.
At Chedwin Park the CCC team reached 111 for 5, they are replying to 344 for 8 declared made by the Barbados Pride.
At Warner Park in St. Kitts the Leeward Islands Hurricanes reached 14 for 1 batting a second time against the West Indies Academy.
The Academy players gained a 40 run lead after they were dismissed for 177 in response to the Hurricane’s first innings 137.
Jeremiah Louis took 5 for 29 and Javier Spencer took three wickets. Joshua Bishop, 48, and Mbeki Joseph, 42, were the leading scorers for the Academy.
Meanwhile at Conaree the start of day has been delayed due to rain with the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force set to resume on 215 for 4 against champions the Guyana Harpy Eagles with Jason Mohammed not out 100. All of Thursday’s second day in both game in St. Kitts were washed out.
