The authorities are expected to clamp down on the operations of another establishment in the resort town of Negril in Westmoreland.

Minister of Local Government and Community Development, Desmond McKenzie, has revealed that the establishment in question has breached the Disaster Risk Management Act, DRMA.

This is the second Westmoreland-based establishment in recent weeks that is being summoned to a meeting with the Ministry for breaching the the DRMA.

Only last week, Rick’s Cafe was summoned to a meeting with Minister McKenzie in relation to the breaches that occurred on the property during the hosting of the controversial Mocha Fest event.

The Cafe which was ordered closed temporarily will now be allowed to resume business.

Meanwhile, Minister McKenzie says the reports from his Ministry with its findings about Mocha Fest will be submitted to the Prime Minister next week.

And the Local Government Minister is reiterating that the laws in relation to the breaches of the DRMA will be applied equitably.
