National Security Minister, Dr. Horace Chang, is commending the Police following a major gun and ammunition bust last night.
19 illegal guns – including six rifles were seized at the Montego Bay Freeport wharf.
470 rounds of ammunition were also seized.
The Security Minister says transnational criminals also attempted to import over 40-magazines to assist their counterparts in Jamaica in taking the fight to citizens and law enforcement.
Dr. Chang is describing the gun find as a morale booster for the JCF.
