The Ministry of National Security will attempt to provide 800 vehicles to the JCF over the next few years in an effort to satisfy the mobility demands of the force.

That’s according to Permanent Secretary in the National Security Ministry, Dianne McIntosh.

Ms. McIntosh was speaking at yesterday’s sitting of Parliament’s Public Administration and Appropriations Committee, PAAC.

She says the Ministry has provided one-hundred and 25 vehicles since December of last year to the JCF under emergency procurement. This includes both pre-owned and used vehicles.

An additional one-hundred 50 vehicles are expected by the end of this fiscal year. She says over the next few financial years more vehicles should be procured.
