Government Senator, Sherene Golding-Campbell is calling on medium, small and micro enterprises, MSMEs to be exempted from onerous labour codes when treating with non-unionised workers.
Senator Golding Campbell, says prior amendments allowing such workers to seek redress from the Industrial Disputes Tribunal, IDT, did not anticipate the burden it would place on small businesses.
Senator Golding Campbell was making her contribution to the State of the Nation Debate recently.
She praised the Holness administration for its championing of small business as an avenue to grow the economy.
