Nationwide Sports can confirm that the fastest woman in the world this year the American Sha’Carri Richardson will not be competing at the Racers Grand Prix meet set for the National Stadium on Saturday June 3.

News circulated in local media this past weekend that the mercurial Richardson had joined the list of global stars who are scheduled to run at the meet.

However, according to a Nationwide source, Richardson who ran the year’s fastest time of 10.76 seconds at the Doha Diamond League on May 5, toyed with the idea of running at the meet, but that a decision has been made against her appearing.

Meanwhile, Olympic 200 metre bronze medallist Gabby Thomas has withdrawn from the meet.

Thomas was set to run in her pet event.
