Two-time World Championship silver medallist, Shanieka Ricketts, will be seeking to improve on her season best when she competes in the women’s triple jump at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon, the 5th stop on the Diamond League circuit, on Saturday.

She’ll be joined by compatriot Kimberly Williams.

Ricketts opened her season with 14.50 metres to win at the Jamaica Athletics Invitational.

She followed that up with 14.36 metres to finish second at the USATF LA Grand Prix.

Rickets says she hopes to jump over 15 metres in Eugene.

Meanwhile, double Olympic champion, Elaine Thompson-Herah, is on the list to open her season.

Thompson-Herah is down to line up in the 100-metres against World Champion, Sha’Carri Richardson, 2019 World Championships bronze medallist Marie-Josee Ta Lou-Smith of the Ivory Coast and World Indoor 60-metres champion,Julien Alfred of St. Lucia.

2019 200-metres gold medallist Dina Asher-Smith, and Brittany Brown of the USA will bring additional competition to the field.

In the men’s race, Jamaica will be represented by Ackeem Blake and Sandrey Davison.

Other Jamaicans down to compete include, the trio of Roshawn Clarke, Jaheel Hyde and Malik James-King in the men’s 400-metres hurdles.

World Champion Danielle Williams in the women’s 100-metres hurdles.

Olympic Champion Hansle Parchment will run in the 110-metres hurdles.

Natoya Goule-Toppin will run in the women’s 800-metres.

Adelle Tracey will face the starter in the women’s 1500-metres.

And Rajindra Campbell in the men’s shot put.
