The number of illegal guns seized by the Police this morning during a gun battle in Gregory Park, St. Catherine has increased to six.
This morning the Police came under gunfire during an operation in Gregory Park that is now under a curfew.
Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Area 5, Gary Griffiths says several high powered weapons were among the guns seized.
ACP Griffiths says they also found and seized several Molotov cocktails.
Two houses were firebombed in the community on Sunday leading to heightened police presence and the imposition of the 48 hour curfew.
ACP Griffiths says they’ve already applied for an extension of the curfew.
