A spokesperson for international recording artiste, Shenseea, is dismissing speculation that the artiste has been dropped by her record label, Interscope.

Rumours began circulating on several blogs within the past 24 hours that Shenseea has been released from the label. Those rumors intensified when it appeared her name was removed from the list of artistes signed to Interscope on the record label’s website on Friday morning.

However, when contacted by Nationwide Online, a member of Shenseea’s team laughed off the rumours.

“You mean the same Shenseea that just released a song on the same label? I think that answers the question,” quipped a member of Shenseea’s management team.

The song being referred to is ‘Hit and Run’. Shenseea has been teasing the track for days before releasing the visuals on YouTube on Friday.

The track features the high flying Masicka, following the release of his latest album ‘Generation of Kings’ and is produced by Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor. Hit and Run is a song about female independence. Hit and Run also advocates for female sexual empowerment.

In the first 12 hours of the track’s release on YouTube it racked up 824,000 views. It was also the number 16 trending video on the YouTube trending page at the time of writing.

Subsequent checks of Interscope’s artiste hub, made in the early afternoon on Friday, showed the Shenseea among their stable.
