The Police seized over 1,000 pounds of marijuana at a house in Portmore on Friday.

Head of the St. Catherine South Police, Senior Superintendent Clive Blair, says the drugs were seized at a house in the West Cumberland area of Portmore.

He says a man has been taken into police custody.

The drugs were seized during an operation by the Constabulary’s Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch, CTOC.

Head of CTOC, Assistant Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey says a ‘high end’ vehicle was also seized. He says the police believe the vehicle belongs to a prominent entertainer.

The police are still estimating the street value of the illegal drugs.
