The Principal of St. Hilda’s High School in St. Ann, Heather Reid-Johnson, says she’s unaware of any request from the Ministry of Education for the school to review its decision to remover the post Head Girl from Jade Bascoe, due to her alleged religious beliefs.

Last week the Education Ministry asked the school to review the decision after dispatching it’s Regional Director to meet with Mrs. Reid-Johnson.

Coming out of that meeting it was agreed that the review would be conducted by the school board.

Those events were reported last week in the electronic and print media.

But speaking with our news centre today, Mrs. Reid-Johnson, says she’s unaware of any request for reconsideration coming from the Ministry.
