The St. James Police on Wednesday arrested and charged a man who was wanted in connection with three murders committed in Vietnam in the parish in December, 2006.

This, when he returned to the island, after being on the run overseas for nearly eight years.

He’s 26-year-old Orane Bernard otherwise called ‘City Puss’ of Flanker, St. James.

The police say Bernard was arrested on warrant at the Sangster International Airport. They say he fled the island for the United States the same year of the killings.

Reports are that about 8:00 P.M., on December 14, 2006, three men were on premises in Vietnam when they were attacked and killed by gunmen.

The dead men were identified as 20-year-old Romaine White otherwise called ‘Nion’, 45-year-old Garth Cooke and Lloyd Hudson, all from Flanker.

The police say subsequent investigations led to the arrest of two other men who were later charged.

Bernard, who had fled the country, returned to the island on Wednesday and was accosted by the Police.

He’s to appear before the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate’s Court later this month.
