A prisoner who escaped custody from the Oracabessa Police Lock Up in St. Mary on Thursday, December 21, 2023, has been apprehended.

The fugitive, identified as 26-year-old Phillip Williams, also known as ‘Boe’, from Belfield in St. Mary, was facing charges of Shooting with Intent.

He, along with six other prisoners, escaped the lockup after using a hacksaw blade to create an opening in the metal ventilation system.

Williams was nabbed during a targeted operation in the Guava Road area of Belfield on Tuesday, March 26.

Williams was discovered sleeping beneath a house and was promptly taken into custody.
