State Minister of Education, Robert Morgan, says with Covid-19 infections rapidly increasing, the resumption of face-to-face classes in September is now in serious doubt.

He says the entire society is at a breaking point as it struggles to control the virus.

The State Minister is imploring everyone to get vaccinated.

Stevian Simmonds reports.

Robert Morgan, who’s also the Member of Parliament for Clarendon North Central, says he was moved to call Cliff Hughes Online on Monday morning because of the dire situation the country finds itself in.

He says too many people are still refusing to be inoculated, choosing instead to follow erroneous messages about the Covid-19 vaccines.

But Minister Morgan is calling on Jamaicans to consider those children who’ve lost months of classes due to the pandemic.

He says the impact of Covid-19 on children extends beyond just academics.
