Nationwide News understands that the Supreme Court this afternoon ordered that the assets of accused fraudster and real estate attorney, Jennifer Messado, be frozen.
The order was granted today by Supreme Court Judge, David Batts. This, following an application by attorneys, Abe Dabdoub and Jacqueline Cummings.
Mr. Dabdoub and Miss Cummings made the application on behalf of prominent businessman and PNP politician, Norman Horne.
The order has frozen all local and international assets belonging to Messado.
The order extends to Messado’s law firm, Messado and Company. It also applies to her personal assets and bank accounts overseas.
Messado is facing at least seven fraud charges in relation to several different cases. She’s currently out on bail in relation to all the charges.
Messado was recently charged for allegedly misappropriating funds belonging to Mr. Horne’s company, A.R.C. properties.
Prominent dancehall entertainer, Mavado, is also among the entertainers who Messado is accused of defrauding of several million dollars.
Messado is being represented in the criminal cases by Christopher Townsend.
