There have been concerns regarding the readiness of students for the Primary Exit Profile (PEP) exams for this school year. Speaking with Nationwide News today, President of the Jamaica Teachers’ Association, Jasford Gabriel, says teachers are concerned that students are not ready for this year’s PEP exams. He says the sentiments are the same for the upcoming ability test.

Mr Gabriel also says that there is a huge gap in learning between students who’re unable to attend online classes and those who were fully engaged. He says strategies need to be implemented for the students who are behind to be brought up to speed.
