The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a teenager on the Port Royal main road in East Kingston on Thursday.

The teen has been identified as 17-year-old Shamoya Miller.

Miller is of John Street in Allman Town, Kingston.

Her body was discovered some time after 11AM on Thursday after she failed to return home the previous day.

According to the Kingston East Police, residents summoned investigators to the body that was lying along the roadway.

Reports from the Elletson Road Police are that upon their arrival, Miller’s body was lying along the roadway with blood coming from the nose and mouth.

The scene was processed and the body was removed to the morgue pending a post mortem.

It’s further reported that the teen reportedly left home to visit a friend on Wild Street in the area on Wednesday.

However, relatives grew concerned after repeated calls to Shamoya’s cell phone went unanswered some time after 11 in the night.

Investigations into the teen’s death are ongoing.
