PNP General Secretary says the party intends to proceed as planned with Saturday’s candidate selection exercise in the constituency of North East St. Elizabeth.
Incumbent MP Raymond Pryce is being challenged by prominent St. Elizabeth businessman, Evon Redman.
There’ve been rising tensions in the constituency between supporters of both Pryce and Redman.
Speaking with Nationwide News today Paul Burke said the selection is not a certainty.
Yesterday, Redman accused Pryce of attempting to use every trick in the book to have the candidate selection exercise postponed.
Mr. Pryce has not responded to the allegation.
Mr. Burke says there’s no truth to media reports that Saturday’s selection exercise has been postponed.
