The reputed leader of the Spanish Town-based Klansman Gang, Tesha Miller, is to appear in court today.
He’s to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court in Half Way Tree, St. Andrew at 10:00 this morning to answer to two counts of making a false declaration.
Miller’s lawyer, Bert Samuels, says he’ll be making a bail application for his client when he appears in court. He has said he believes the charges against his client are minor, adding he should be granted bail. Mr. Samuels says Miller is in custody at the Hunt’s Bay Police Station.
Miller was deported from the Bahamas earlier this month. He’s been in custody since. He was in police custody in the Bahamas on suspicion that he illegally entered the country.
In August last year, the police asked Miller to make himself available for questioning. But he fled the island.
The police had said they wanted to question Miller about a flare-up in violence in Spanish Town last year.
