The National Water Commission, NWC, says it’s now focused on completing repairs along Spanish Town Road now that its major pipeline project is finished.
The NWC’s major pipeline replacement project involves changing aged transmission mains that are easily broken.
After several set backs, the project was completed at the end of last month.
Corporate Communications Manager at the NWC, Andrew Canon, says the road works have started.
Canon says customers along the project route should start to experience increased service reliability.
He says previous disruptions to the water supply were due to transfers of customer connections to the new pipeline.
