The Trelawny Police have taken another person into custody, as they probe an incident that left a four-year-old shot dead and her father shot and injured.

The incident happened in Freemans Hill in the parish early yesterday morning.

Dead is Chloe Brown.

Her 49-year-old father was also shot and injured.

The Trelawny Police yesterday detained Chloe’s uncle and another man known to the family.

Later yesterday, the Police also detained a woman from the community. She is close to the other man detained earlier.

The Police theorise that a dispute between Chloe’s father and her uncle, is what led to the incident.

Head of the Trelawny Police, Superintendent Kirk Ricketts says Chloe’s father and uncle had a dispute yesterday during a birthday party.

Superintendent Kirk Ricketts, Head of the Trelawny Police, speaking yesterday with Nationwide News. He says at least one of the persons in custody could be charged for murder soon.
