The Ministry of Health and Wellness will be forced to dump an additional batch of AstraZeneca vaccines at around midnight on Tuesday.
More than 100,000 doses of the drug will go bad, after the government failed to administer them to Jamaicans.
This is the third batch of vaccines that Jamaica will dump.
The Health Ministry has so far dumped more than 200,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, valued at well over $100 million.
The batch, which will expire on Tuesday, is reportedly from a shipment received in October.
The ministry is reportedly making a final push over the next 24 hours in an effort to get those Jamaicans who are due their second dose of the AstraZeneca to turn up to receive the jab.
The ministry says it is in the process of calculating how many Jamaicans are now due those second doses.
