The Clarendon Police say they have taken three people into custody in connection with the murder of 10-year-old Juvea Cooper in Portland Cottage in the parish.
Juvea was reported missing last Thursday. His body was dumped at the back of a house, with the throat slashed and the left arm severed.
Head of the Clarendon Police, Senior Superintendent Fitz Bailey says contrary to reports in the print media, the severed arm has not been found.
Juvea’s relatives say his murder may be linked to an incident in which he threw a stone and broke a neighbour’s window.
SSP Bailey says the Police are exploring that theory.
SSP Bailey says the Police are confident of closing the investigation soon.
