Member of Parliament, Ronald Thwaites, is declining to confirm whether he’ll be among the candidates in what he says is an upcoming selection process to determine who’ll be the PNP standard bearer for Central Kingston in the next General Election.
Mr. Thwaites says delegates in the constituency will soon decide who’ll be the PNP candidate.
PNP sources say former MP, Raymond Pryce and Imani Duncan Price, are interested in succeeding Mr. Thwaites.
Calls placed this afternoon to Mr. Pryce and Mrs. Duncan Price’s mobile phones were not answered.
Twice over the past few weeks, Mrs. Duncan Price has denied that she’ll be resigning as Chief of Staff in the Opposition Leader’s office to focus on a bid to be the PNP’s candidate for Central Kingston.
Mr.Thwaites told our news center today that he’s heard that there are several people interested in succeeding him.
